This year our focused has shifted from what makes leadership better to how to be an effective leader. Our goal as student leaders is to not be the best. Rather, to grow with the band and learn as we go.

EHS Drum Major

My primary instrument is flute but I have also played mello, clarinet, and baritone sax.

Assistant Drum Major/ Woodwind Captain

I play saxophone in marching band and jazz band. I have also played violin in mariachi.

Percussion Captain
Kyra Cantu
I have experience in a large variety of percussion instruments including tenor drums, keyboard instruments, and auxiliary percussion.

New for the 2023 season leadership positions will district wide. What does this mean? To illustrate, there will not be a drum major representing each school. Rather, there will be one drum major representing the entire 78th Regiment.

Leadership Development Training
Prepare to learn a lot about what it means to be a leader. We will cover the basics of leadership, including how to lead, what the expectations are, how to handle conflict, and what it really means to lead.

Freshman Introduction and Leadership Tryouts
New students are recommended to come but anyone is welcome.

Band Camp
Time for everyone to get back together before the start of school and really get the show going.
